The story happened in 1880 in the opera house in Paris. The main character is Christine. She is a young and new singer from Norway. Her voice was beautiful and she sang very well. Actually, the phantom helped her. He taught her singing and he is the angel of music. No one has seen the phantom before, but everybody in the opera house knew that he was a man in black clothes, he was a body without a head. He is a head without a body. He had a nose and he had black holes for eyes.
Actually, the phantom loved Christine but she fall in love with another man. This relationship led to a tragedy.
I think the phantom was a poor man. He wanted to be loved but he wasnt because of his ugly face and he had to live underground for the rest of his life.
The book is very famous. Also, it have been many films of it.
